Amirul 19 months old milestones

19 months, what a big number. Amirul is grown up and i do really missed his baby-hood. What is Amirul milestones for this month??? So much things he wants to explore, learn, and try and always make mummy daddy's day full with excitement and chaos. According to Baby Centre :

Most children can do
  • Can use a spoon and fork - He become more expert with his spoon and lesser food fallen down from his plate. Less work for me
  • Can run - He is a good runner and tok abah asked why Amirul run his head go 1st. nanti tumbang la. huhu
  • Can throw a ball underarm
Half of children can do
  • Half of speech may be understandable - He likes to talk now. Some understandable, some not.
  • Recognize when somethings is wrong ( calling a dog a cat) - He can recognize elephant, fish, giraffe, etc
A few children can do
  • Can wash and dry hand and brush teeth with help - We trained him to wash his hand & mouth before & after eat.
  • Can point to picture of cat/dog when you say the word - He does this correctly but sometimes he become confuse. Need more training and exercising.
  • May know when she needs to urinate - If he poo poo, he will point to his pants.
Amirul's other skills & developments
  • He can wear his own sandal. Sometimes left feet wearing right sandal and vice versa. But recently, he is wearing the right sandal to the right feet.
  • He shows loves to baby. He want new 'play friend' instead of his daddy.
  • Add new words to his vocabulary and he started to imitate me.(Amirul 1st word is Umbrella - refer here)
  • He likes socialize with others He may play with you, laugh with you, tease you but dont you ever touch him or carry him or hold him, he will screaming like you are scolding him..
  • Recently i bought 2 educational CDs (Baby Genius & Brainy Baby) for Amirul. He loves it so much and likes to watch it like very now n then. (wake from sleep watch CDs, came back from Ibu's house watch CDs, after crying watch CDs, etc) sampai mummy & daddy tak bleh tgk TV..
  • I had showed him to put syringe into sink after drink ubat , then he did that on next day. ( i did showed him once, bagus la Amirul ni)

Daddy Amirul seek the right answer for the question of his favorite radio station FLY FM

Fly Fm Morning Crew finally got a winner of the previous wake up your brain question that was "Malaysia has the third highest number of...".

The previous wake up your brain question had snowballed to RM 28k++, then Azura threw the right answer to the Fly Fm morning crew;

Malaysia Has The Third Highest Number Of Billionaire In Asia Pacific.

It’s very frustrating, I was the one who supposed to answer that question. Hehe. Well anyway, Congratulations!!

The New Wake Up Your Brain Question Gives Headaches
And now the morning crew has the new wake up your brain question that will scratch all of your heads (every man has two head if you know what i mean), waiting to be answered or snowballed to five digit numbers.

 Where is Anywhere?
The morning crew; nadia, phat fabes, and ben keep telling listeners that it is a place, there's no tricky question. I may speculate that the new wake up your brain will be snowballed over RM30,000. Check here for Wake Up Your Brain wrong answers.

In order to make extra money for family, every morning i turn up to 95.8 FM while driving just to hear the ‘word queue to call’. Unfortunately, it's nearly impossible to call Fly FM and in the end, all i got was endless engaged tone and swear words every time that there was a dial tone left unanswered.

I made an assumption that Fly Fm would never answer my call for a 100 years, i made a decision to share with you the work i that i've done recently; in searching for right answer to wake up your brain.

In Searching For The Right Answer
I have searched for the right answer on four famous search engines; Google, Yahoo, Bing, and Ask. While my wife kept yelling at me "it's three o clock in the morning, you haven't make a milk for Amirul and I want to smack your head", I made top 10 listing result of the four search engines.

So i typed in "is anywhere", it suprisingly showed like this:

1.    Where Is Anywhere?
2.    Your Office Is Anywhere.
3.    Elvis Costello – Home Is Anywhere.
4.    Nowhere Is Anywhere
5.    Adventure Is Anywhere
6.    Zetsubou Is Anywhere
7.    The Place To Be Is Anywhere
8.    Lindsay Lohan Is Anywhere
9.    Zabriskie Point Is Anywhere
10.  The War Is Anywhere

1.    Home Is Anywhere
2.    Our Hometown Is Anywhere
3.    Your Office Is Anywhere
4.    The End Is Anywhere
5.    Your Destination Is Anywhere!
6.    Online Banking Is Anywhere
7.    Kodak Is Anywhere
8.    The Suffering Is Anywhere
9.    My Place Is Anywhere
10.  Lindsay Lohan Is Anywhere

Bing.Com -

1.    Lindsay Lohan Is Anywhere
2.    Love Is Anywhere
3.    Your Office Is Anywhere
4.    '%' Is Anywhere
5.    Fun Is Anywhere
6.    War Is Anywhere
7.    Your Package Is Anywhere
8.    Los Angeles Is Anywhere
9.    My Fave Vacation Spot Is Anywhere
10.  What Is Anywhere?

1.    Zabriskie Point Is Anywhere
2.    Digital Cable TV Filters Complete Instruction Manual Best There Is Anywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3.    Office Is Anywhere
4.    Home Is Anywhere
5.    Your Destination Is Anywhere!
6.    The Profit Margin Is Anywhere
7.    Love Is Anywhere
8.    Fun Is Anywhere
9.    Nowhere Is Anywhere
10.  Your Blood Sugar Level Is Anywhere

After made a heavy analysis, I could identify that there is one result shows up frequently in any of four search engines, that is:

Home is anywhere

This result surfaced on three well-known search engines, and it is on top of the yahoo search result. Home is anywhere is the song by singer-songwriter Elvis Costello from England.
This result above could be the answer although I have a little doubt in it. But I guess it worth a try.

Lastly, i wish all of the successful callers get the right answer for the wake up your brain question. Along with that, I will continue turning un to 98.3 Fly FM  every morning, listening to the oh-crap-dude-that's-not-even-funny talking crap of morning crew: Nadia, Phat Fabes, and Ben, and waiting to for the queue to call announcement. Check here for Wake Up Your Brain wrong answers

And one more thing, if you do win the prize using my answers above, don't forget to drop off some souvenir for me. Hoho. Thanks.

Wedding Passport

Something to share with my readers :

Monica married Nick this day. At the end of the wedding party, Monica's mother gave her a newly opened bank saving passbook with Rs.1000 deposit amount

Mother: 'Monica, take this passbook. Keep it as a record of your marriage life. When there's something happy and memorable happened in your new life, put some money in. Write down what it's about next to the line. The more memorable the event is, the more money you can put in. I've done the first one for you today. Do the others with Nick. When you look back after years, you can know how much happiness you've had.

Monica shared this with Nick after getting home. They both thought it was a great idea and were anxious to know when the second deposit could be made. This was what they did after a certain time:

* 7 Feb: Rs.100, first birthday celebration for Nick after marriage

* 1 Mar: Rs.300, salary raise for Monica

* 20 Mar: Rs.200, vacation trip to Bali

* 15 Apr: Rs.2000, Monica got pregnant

* 1 Jun: Rs.1000, Nick got promoted

However, as the years went by they started fighting and arguing for trivial things. They didn't talk much. They regretted that they had married the nastiest people in the world.... No more love....Kind of typical nowadays, huh?

One day Monica talked to her Mother: 'Mom, we can't stand it anymore. We agree to divorce. I can't imagine how I decided to marry this guy!!!"

Mother: 'Sure, girl, that's no big deal. Just do whatever you want if you really can't stand it. But before that, do one thing first. Remember the saving passbook I gave you on your wedding day? Take out all money and spend it first. You shouldn't keep any record of such a poor marriage.'

Monica thought it was true. So she went to the bank, waiting in queue to cancel the account. While waiting, she took a look at the passbook record. She looked, and looked, and looked. Then the memory of all their previous joy and happiness came flooding back. Her eyes filled with tears. She left and went home. When she was home, she handed the passbook to Nick, asked him to spend the money before getting divorce.

The next day, Nick gave the passbook back to Monica. She found a new deposit of Rs.15000. And a line next to the record: 'This is the day I realised how much I've loved you thru out all these years. How much happiness you've brought me.'

They hugged and cried, putting the passbook back to the safe. Do you know how much money they had saved when they retired? I did not ask. I believe the money did not matter any more after they had gone thru all the good years in life.

"When you fall in any way, don't look at the spot where you fell instead remember the place from where you slipped. Life is about making mistakes, correcting them and continuing the love."
Note : Parent's advice is always correct and our parent always think for our happiness. We sometimes arguing small things with them without realize they actually concern about us a lot.

Tips on how to be frugal on your baby's necessity

What is frugal mean ??? According to Wikipedia, frugal mean the practice of acquiring goods and services in a restrained manner, whilst frugality mean avoiding or reduction of waste.

What is baby's necessity : Things that essential for baby's need, not things that fpr your baby's want. Eg: baby clothes, baby nappies, blanket, booties+mitten is things that essential for baby. While baby car seat, baby bouncer, breast pump, etc is things that you baby's want that if, you do not buying those items, your baby still has a healthy life.

The question is,how are we going to be frugal on our baby's necessity ? A simple question that I find it hard to answer. We love our kids so much and we tend to buy/give everything to them and yet we have a very limited, short of money that put us on hold.

I found few tips at Baby Centre about being frugal on baby's necessity and may useful for us. Click here for tips on buying 2nd hand items and click here for tips on buying baby items if you are in budget. Lastly, click here if you need to know what your baby need.

Here is my tips on being frugal on Amirul's necessity:
  • Buy 2nd hand items - This also depend on which items you talk about. Eg :clothes, milk bottles, teat is acceptable if you buy new one since this is for daily use. However if toys, i would prefer to buy 2nd hand items as Amirul wont use it daily and I tend to buy new toys like every month to promote his new skills. Few web store selling baby items online like: Little Whiz , My BB Store, Ebay.
  • Borrow from your relatives - In my case, SIL lend me baby cot & baby bouncer. My sister lend me kain barut, and few more items
  • If you insist to buy new items, buy branded items or trusted brand like Avent, NUK, Fisher Price, or Playskool. They can last long, and can be passed to other siblings. It can save you  money in future. I've paid RM 179 for Amirul's V-tech Sit-to-stand activity walker and can be used up to 3years old.
  • or buy new items but budget brand: eg : Tesco ( I did buy few toys from Tesco brand and yet still in good condition even tho Amirul throw it few times on floor )
  • Buy during sale - I love sale so much and quite a number of Amirul items i bought during sale.
  • Mixing and matching old and new items.
What's your tips on be frugal on your baby's necessity. Do share here so that everybody can save some money and buy other things or maybe you can share you fave online store here.

Makan Fiesta @ Kelantan

Last weekend me, Mr Hubby and Amirul went back to Kelantan. This Aidilfitri will be celebrated at Mr Hubby's side at Bangi. As usual i will spend my Aidilfitri with my family in advance; meaning in month of Syawal. We went back for 4D 3N. Its a short weekend yet very memorable and the important time is the quality time we spend together.Ma purposely took leave during my short weekend and became chef of the day.. I love u Ma

Day 1 she cooked ikan masak asam. I did not know what fish is that, but got a lot of bones. Since im not a fish's fan, so i just ate ayam goreng rempah. Nice and crunchy and i can fell the taste of marinated herb. I wonder, how she prepared those marinated chicken bcoz everytime i made ones, its wont become like that.. huhhhh. Forgot to take the photo.

Day 2 sup tulang. The best sup tulang in town (according to me & Mr Hubby taste buds; this is the best sup tulang we found and a must menu everytime we go back to Kelantan). Again its a simple menu. Ma just put herbs, boil approximately for 4hours / until the meat become tender, add salt.. Tadaaaa finish.. Again no photo taken.

Day 3 nasi kerabu - this is my all time fave. Its took almost the whole day to prepared this meal. From tumis, sambal kelapa, and kerabu. The cutting part is the most annoying one. We need to cut all those ulam (at least 4 types of ulam) and must cut into small pieces. Ma always scolded me for this cutting thingy.

Nasi Kerabu - I only help ma prepared sambal kelapa and fried fish + ayam rempah

Additional food i requested Ma to cook

Ayam Kampung Gulai, Ayam Kampung Goreng Rempah, (this 2 photos nanti akan di upload later).

Note : A quote from a friend of mine to me "Huda boleh keluarkan kelantan dlm diri dier, tp kelantan tak bleh kuar dari huda". Nice quote

Did I Marry the RIGHT PERSON?

I received this email thru my Outlook email and something urge me to share about this.:

Those who are still single may learn something from here.
Those who are already married may take it as a guideline to improve your marriage...

During one of our seminars, a woman asked a common question. She said, "How do I know if I married the right person?"
I noticed that there was a large man sitting next to her so I said, "It depends. Is that your husband?" In all seriousness, she answered "How do you know?"

Here's the answer.

EVERY relationship has a cycle. In the beginning, you fall in love with your spouse. You anticipated their call, wanted their touch, and liked their idiosyncrasies. Falling in love with your spouse wasn't hard. In fact, it was a completely natural and spontaneous experience. You didn't have to DO anything. That's why it's called "falling" in love... Because it's happening TO YOU.

People in love sometimes say, "I was swept of my feet." Think about the imagery of that expression. It implies that you were just standing there; doing nothing, and then something came along and happened TO YOU.

Falling in love is easy. It's a passive and spontaneous experience.

But after a few years of marriage, the euphoria of love fades. It's the natural cycle of EVERY relationship. Slowly but surely, phone calls become a bother (if they come at all), touch is not always welcome (when it happens), and your spouse's idiosyncrasies, instead of being cute, could drive you nuts.

The symptoms of this stage vary with every relationship, but if you think about your marriage, you will notice a dramatic difference between the initial stage when you were in love and a much duller or even angry subsequent stage.

At this point, you and/or your spouse might start asking, "Did I marry the right person?" And as you and your spouse reflect on the euphoria of the love you once had, you may begin to desire that experience with someone else. This is when marriages breakdown. People blame their spouse for their unhappiness and look outside their marriage for fulfillment.

Extramarital fulfillment comes in all shapes and sizes. Infidelity is the most obvious. But sometimes people turn to work,a hobby, a friendship, excessive TV, or abusive substances.

But the answer to this dilemma does NOT lie outside your marriage. It lies within it. I'm not saying that you couldn't fall in love with someone else. You could.

And TEMPORARILY you'd feel better. But you'd be in the same situation a few years later.. Because (listen carefully to this):

SUSTAINING love is not a passive or spontaneous experience. It'll NEVER just happen to you..
You can't "find" LASTING love. You have to "make" it day in and day out. That's why we have the expression "the labor of love."

Because it takes time, effort, and energy. And most importantly, it takes WISDOM. You have to know WHAT TO DO to make your marriage work.
Make no mistake about it. Love is NOT a mystery. There are specific things you can do (with or without your spouse) to succeed with your marriage.

Just as there are physical laws of the universe (such as gravity), there are also laws for relationships. Just as the right diet and exercise program makes you physically stronger, certain habits in your relationship WILL make your marriage stronger. It's a direct cause and effect. If you know and apply the laws, the results are predictable. ... you can "make" love.
Love in marriage is indeed a "decision"... Not just a feeling.

Remember this always:

"God determines who walks into your life. It is up to you to decide who you let walk away, who you let stay, and who you refuse to let go."

So, spend your lifetime finding out the loveable things about your spouse so that you could LOVE your spouse everyday in every way in an EVERLASTING marriage. That is why granpa's love to your granma seems so PURE.
Remember, you are with the "RIGHT" person. If not, you wouldn't have wanted to marry your spouse in the first place.

He is Mr RIGHT. Right from the start. Right for everythings
